A Fun Weekend :)

So yesterday (Sunday) morning we were making crepes and TJ was cracking the eggs...and this one didn't exactly crack! If you look closely, you can see the skin...He was pretty proud :)

Saturday night we had a ward activity on emergency preparedness and we made 72 hour kits for our cars! It was a really fun activity, and we learned some good survival skills. Here is our little emergency can :)

And here's the inside! We're supposed to add more stuff to it with time, but right now it has a flashlight, an emergency blanket, 2 cliff bars, napkins, ziploc bags, and a bic lighter.

Friday night we ventured up to Salt Lake and saw Savior of the World. It's performed in the theater in the conference center, and basically just tells about the Savior's life and a little background before. It's really a great show, we enjoyed it a lot.
This is the view of the Salt Lake temple from across the street. So beautiful!

Us at Savior of the World :)

There was no flash photography allowed during the performance...so we snuck a picture of the stage before it started! Ha! You can kinda see the stage...:)

So I (Krista) have this History of Creativity class, and every time we have a test, there is a take-home portion. This time they decided that we should design and build our own arch, so this is my beautiful creation! It's made of duct tape and pencils :) It wasn't allowed to be made of anything metal. And yes, I did get full credit :)

Memories :)

So I couldn't find a good image....but we started doing Indexing!!! I'm sure you've all heard of it. Our stake has a goal of getting a million names indexed by like June or something, so they've asked all the wards to do about 10,000 a month. So we did our first batch of indexing today! And it was totally fun. We loved it. We didn't want to stop to go to church...is that bad? Haha. Seriously though, it's a great work and service to do, and really not that hard. We encourage all of you to sign up at familysearchindexing.org :)

On to the fun stuff...we went up to Sandy to celebrate Oma and Opa's 55th wedding anniversary!!! (Oma and Opa are our friend Kayla's grandparents.) It was a surprise party, and all their family came into town and had a luncheon, and lots of way fun games.

This is me participating in one of the way fun games. We played "Plumb Factor" (their last name is Plumb) kind of like fear factor. So the teams that weren't first to get the question right about Oma and Opa had to do the "challenge". This one was to eat all of the whip cream out of the pie plate faster than the other team.

Finished product. I didn't win...it was close...but I had waaay more whip cream. Not even kidding. And I was better entertainment. I figured that since all I had to do was get it out of the pie plate, I would just get as much of it on my face as possible! I did pretty good :) Good entertainment for all.

Yes, it is past Halloween...but we made some fun Halloween cookies last Sunday and never got to ice them! So we iced them this week, and have been enjoying them thoroughly :) Here are some of our creations.

Trafalga Fun!

This weekend we went on a triple date with some single friends :) and we went mini golfing! Here are some fun pictures from the night.

This is us...mini golfing...

TJ had a little trouble with this hole...his ball ricocheted into some pretty strange places...this one was the most dangerous! DUCK!

As you can see, my ball got stuck inbetween the rim of the cup and the green, not because I didn't hit it hard enough, but because the course is ghetto. The green was torn up around the cup. It takes some talent to get it stuck there if you ask me :)

The group! Manti, Mallory, Krista, TJ, Carly, and Joey.
Super fun.

To end the night we got Dippin' Dots!!! Yummy! They were super yummy!

And up close...dippin' dots look like.....popcorn!
Hooray for a fun night :)

Seeing as it's Halloween, we thought it would be appropriate to post a picture of our pumpkin that we carved. So here's a picture of the masterpiece. (We also thought it was fitting to write in orange...:)
