This weekend TJ had his first indoor track meet, and it was here at BYU! In the long jump he managed to spike his leg...which resulted in 4 stitches. This is a cool picture of the damage.
This picture is from when we were driving back to Provo after Christmas break in Washington. This is smoke from some sort of factory, but it totally looks like this giant monster terrorizing some poor innocent...thing. I don't know. You make up what you think it looks like :)
The night before we left to drive home, Kaeli came into our bedroom while we were packing up all our stuff and had one of these stacks in each hand, and carefully gave them to each of us. She told us that she had to give us some food to snack on for the road and some gas money! We laughed really hard. Thanks Kaeli!
And of course, what would a good trip to Chehalis be without four wheeling?!?! It was pretty wet...as in the water was over the road a bit going into the field...so we geared up with full rain gear :) Here we are ready to go! We hosed ourselves off before we thought about taking an 'after' picture...but you'll just have to believe that we were pretty muddy :) So much fun!
We took a trip down to Portland to go through the temple, and it was wonderful! The last time we were there, we were getting married!! It was fun to revisit all the memories :)
This is us with Don Rinta, TJ's pole vault coach from high school. We visited with him and his wife on New Years Day for a few hours, and had a lot of fun!
New Years Eve we shot off a bunch of fireworks! Yay! This is Krista shooting off the home made artillery shell gun :) We had a lot of fun!
Yes, you are seeing this right. It's bird poop. We went crabbing with Nic and Becki, and at the end of the day we were throwing away all the extra bait to the sea gulls, and Nic was the receiver of this wonderful gift.
We got a crab!!! We got a total of 2 whole crabs!! Not the greatest day for crabbing, but we had fun. This one came up and seriously had a death grip on the little one. We had to work pretty hard to pry it off.
This is the group of kids TJ grew up with in his ward back home. We all got together and told mission stories and bad date stories and just had a good time for a couple hours.
On Christmas Eve day it is tradition in the Emrich family to go up to White Pass and go skiing/snowboarding. We are kind of ridiculous and didn't end up taking ANY pictures while we were actually on the hill! Lame, we know. But here is a picture of the hill :)
TJ's pride and joy that he slaved over for over 35 hours is pictured above. This house was his final project for one of his construction management classes, and it turned out beautifully :) So proud.
As was mentioned before, TJ had his first track meet of the season this weekend! He ended up 3rd overall, in the heptathlon. This is him pole vaulting. Pretty cool :)
