Girl Scout Cookies and Steaks

Two of the greatest things in the world... My dear wife, and girl scout cookies. :) We went to Wal*Mart last night, and right before we walked in the doors, we saw a stand outside selling girl scout cookies! We both got really excited, and bought 2 boxes.

Our favoritest meal- bbq'd steak, corn, and... McDonald's french fries. Krista has been having a craving for a couple months now for french fries. We satisfied that craving. We went to "our park" in Orem, and had a fun picnic/dinner and had some delicious steaks. :)

The Master Chef at work...

And the cute couple at dinner. :)

Saturday afternoon, we went to Krista's old roommate's senior recital on BYU campus. Her name's Tess, and she plays the harp, (as you can plainly see in the picture). She's really, really good at it, and we love listening to her play. She played about 10 pieces, all from memory, and it was wonderful. :)

Last weekend, we went and watched the BYU vs. Wyoming rugby game. My buddy from back home, Joey Mount, plays for BYU. It was a really fun game to watch, and Joey got in a couple good hits and used his many years of wrestling experience to throw a guy to the ground. Was kind of a blow-out game: BYU-71, Wyoming 3. But sure was fun :)

The happy couple at the rugby game. I missed the memo to make a silly face... :D

One of our friends (Lindsey Jarman- in front) and her roommate came to watch Joey play. They were almost as entertaining to watch as the rugby game was. :)

Short 'n Sweet :)

Well, it was a long week for Krista, agonizing over whether or not to get her hair cut... We visited some converts [Sam & Sam Pontious]from the (TJ's) mission, and she cuts hair... we decided to "go for the gusto" and did a little more than a regular "trim." :) Krista's hair was shortened by approximately 10 inches :) I think it looks really good... Krista still finds herself pulling her fingers through where her hair used to be, with this shocked look on her face. She'll get used to it :)

And the back view... it used to be down past the top of the letters on the back of her shirt :)

I got mine cut too... not quite as dramatic, but a little more
"honor code abiding", for those familiar with BYU policy :)

The Day we've been waiting for since our wedding...
We mailed off Krista's Greencard papers on Thursday!!! What a beautiful day it was. It was a real relief to get those sent off...

...and now we just play the waiting game... yay! :)

Visited another family from the mission this week. This is Jesus and Olga, and their little girl Alejandra. Hadn't seen them for about a year. They're from Peru. A really neat family, and really funny, too. They don't speak hardly any English, so it's good that Krista and I both speak Spanish :)

Last week we went out to Eagle Mountain, and got to be there when Felix opened his mission call. Felix used to go on exchanges with me all the time while I served in Eagle Mountain on my mission. His family is from Argentina. We used to call him "The Transporter" because he'd drive us whenever and wherever we needed. He's going to Denver, Colorado, Spanish speaking :)

So... we got a bread maker, as a present for Christmas. And, we finally used it... this is our very first loaf of bread. I was really excited :) I have now made 3 loaves of bread... 2 for us, and one for a buddy on the track team, who gave us some wheat flour. So good! :)

This is the first time I've used tobacco :) I sprained my ankle 3 days before our conference championship track meet... We did some heavy treatments to try and reduce the swelling and bruising. We wrapped tobacco around it to ease the bruising, and it seemed to help quite a bit :)

This is what my ankle looked like for the next few days during our conference meet. It held up well, though, and has healed miraculously well :)
