March Madness is one of my favorite times of the year. To make it even sweeter, my team WON! I love Duke. Love. YA DUKE! So excited.
Pictured below are some little basketball cakes. TJ had a trivia question for the elders quorum in his weekly email about one of the BYU games of March Madness and promised a "treat" for the winners....not knowing what it would be. So I came up with this little idea. They were much cuter in my head, but they still turned out pretty cute!
2 weekends ago TJ had a track meet at Stanford University and I decided to go with him! It was a lot of fun to see what his weekends are like when he travels, to actually be with him on a weekend, and also to enjoy the beautiful weather! My sister, Sarah, who lives near-ish to Stanford, and her 3 kids also came out to cheer on TJ for his hurdles race and hang out with us for a bit. It was so fun to see them! This is me, Anna, and Katie watching hurdles.

Just hangin out :) Thanks for coming to watch, guys!

This past weekend TJ's track meet was at home! He ran the 4x100 meter relay...which actually turned out to be the 3x100 meter for their team. The guy who was supposed to be their anchor either wasn't there or didn't know he was supposed to be....so they just ran with 3 guys and quit at the last corner :) This is TJ gearing up to start off the race!

Go TJ go! (he's the one out in front).

TJ also ran the 110 meter hurdles. He ran 15.05 seconds placing 4th overall.

He managed to hit about half the hurdles and received some battle wounds...you can see the scrapes on his knee and the grimace on is face :(

And pole vault! This picture is kind of far away, but you can see him goin upside down! He jumped 16' 4.75" in the freezing cold, on a short approach and a small pole! Pretty awesome. He tied for first place :)

TJ and Ki :) Thanks for comin' and enduring the cold! And for taking pictures. I took videos of all these events, but they won't load onto the blog...not sure why, but they take a million years and still won't load. So thank you to Ki for taking pictures!

This coming weekend TJ will be in Arizona for track meets....updates to follow! :)
