Krispy Kreme Burger

Yes, you read that correctly. Krispy Kreme Burger. Ew. They shouldn't even be in the same sentence.
About 6 months ago TJ and Chris had a little "man date" where they went shooting and then grilled up these 'burgers'. Chris had seen them on Man vs. Food (it's a tv show) and he wanted to try them. By definition, this is a bacon cheeseburger with a toasted Krispy Kreme doughnut for the buns. They actually sell these outside a minor league baseball stadium just outside St. Louis and they're a huge hit. TJ and Chris said they weren't too bad, but eating more than one in a sitting is too much. They said they'd even eat one again! It's like dessert and the main course all in one bite. Bacon, cheese, hamburger, doughnut. Ew.
In a CBS news article they said it's "a burger so perfect, they say tampering is discouraged." article here
On a healthier note.....
I did some awesome kick boxing this morning. Feeling great about today :)
And I'm having an awesome hair day. Just sayin'.
So I will be having a fun and crazy day.
(Yes, I am wearing a different outfit. I changed 'cause it's too hot to wear a sweater today :))
And now I'm going to pump the tunes, rock out, and clean my kitchen. Ha.
Hope you enjoy your Monday :)

Hunters Reunited

A couple weeks ago my entire family got together for the first time since Josh got home from his mission! Josh started school again at the Y, so my parents brought him down. Brad and Angie decided to bless little Abby that Sunday, so we made the trip down and Sarah and Christian and the kiddos made the trip out too! It was a very quick trip, but it was so so fun.
Saturday we went and got lunch at Kneaders and took it up Provo canyon for a picnic lunch by Bridal Veil Falls.
It was pretty hot that day, so afterward we went and walked around in the bottom of the falls. It was very cold, but so refreshing!
The kids thought it felt good for a minute, but then it was a little cold for them, so we carried them in the water :) TJ carried Anna. Such an awesome uncle.
And I was with Blaine. He really wanted to walk in the water, but each time he'd get his feet in it, take a couple steps and say "cold!!! cold!!!" and I'd pick him back up. You can tell his feet are starting to get way too cold for comfort - half 'cheese' face, half 'get me out of this' face :)
Me and Blaine, still a little chilly :) Love this little man.
Later in the afternoon we went to the Scera Pool to swim and splash around. The weather was cooling off a bit and was just perfect, and it's cheap too! Can't beat that :)
Blaine on the slide
Kate running under all the tipping buckets
After the pool we grabbed some Bajio for dinner and ate outside. Abby was definitely the star of the show all the time. She is so sweet, and so dang cute! The kids just loved her and wanted to hold her.
On Sunday Brad and Angie blessed Abigail in Angie's parent's home. It was a beautiful blessing and I am so grateful we were able to be there and be a part of that special day with them!
And we even managed to get a family picture. I love my family so much!
We had so much fun just hanging out, laughing, playing games, and really just being together as a family. It was awesome.
I was looking through pictures today and found this one of TJ and Blaine and just had to put it up. This is from June when Sarah and Christian made a quick weekend trip to Utah for Christian's sister Jen's wedding. We looked after the kids with Brad and Angie while Sarah and Christian were at a dinner for the wedding. We took the kids to the park, and this is all TJ and Blaine did for literally about 45 minutes straight. They had a little circuit: up the stairs, sit down, go down the slide. Repeat. It was so cute. TJ literally wore out the corner of his back pocket :) I love this picture. I think it's adorable.
We love our family. It's so fun to all get together and hang out. Can't wait til next time!

The Move

Moving is kind of a big deal. Bigger than I realized. It's stressful, exhausting, exciting - all of which I kind of knew, but wasn't entirely prepared for. The night before we drove up to Idaho we were packing up last minute things in our apartment and cleaning so we could do our check out, which we ended up doing before we were really even done. So we were cleaning until the wee hours of the morning. This picture is not staged. I totally crashed on our kitchen floor. Comfortable?? I don't think so. Hilarious? Definite yes.
We had a bunch of our friends and neighbors help us pack up our moving truck the day before we moved (THANK YOU!!!) so we just got up the next morning and threw in all the extra little things, and drove!
This is part way through packing in our little apartment in Provo...what a mess.
All packed up and ready to go!
In our empty Provo apartment. So bitter sweet! And you can see how sweaty and exhausted we were by this point, haha!
One last shot before we hit the road. This is my 'holy crap we're really doing this!?' face.
The drive up was very smooth. TJ drove "with the flow of traffic" in our moving truck...haha...and it got us here in perfect timing to get our power turned on! We absolutely love our new place! We moved in to a 2 story 2 bedroom townhouse. We have great neighbors, a great ward, and we really just feel so blessed to be here. Here's a peek at our new place.
Before and after pictures so you can get a feel for how much progress we've made :)
Living Room Before (it really looked worse than this...but I didn't get pictures until after we'd moved some stuff)
After!
Hallway from our living room to our kitchen
Kitchen Before
After! I absolutely LOVE our kitchen.
Right at the top of the stairs we have our laundry
Upstairs bathroom (there's one downstairs too, but it's not that exciting...)
Master Bedroom Before
After!
Our second bedroom was kind of the 'catch all' for our stuff. Definitely the biggest project in the house.

After!
And here's the outside of our new place. Complete with our little plumeria plant :)
And our little truck in our parking spot :)
And that's our new little home! We love having visitors....so come visit whenever you'd like!!
