Birthday Boy

TJ turned 26 on Saturday! I actually gave him his present from me the last weekend in April when we went to Supercross in Salt Lake City!!
I drove down to Salt Lake and picked TJ up at the airport (he'd been in CA all week). He knew we were staying in Salt Lake that weekend and he wasn't allowed to make any plans, but I hadn't told him what we were doing :) I gave him an envelope with the tickets in it and he was so excited!
It was a beautiful day. The sun was out and was really hot, but the wind was a cold, biting wind! So we were wearing hoodies and jackets, and totally got sunburned! Haha.
We had SO much fun! Definitely something we would go to again in the future.
We love Supercross! :) This was one happy boy, let me tell ya :)
We went and got TJ a $1 cone at McDonald's afterward since the weekend was in celebration of his birthday.
So this past Saturday (his actual birthday) we still tried to make it a really fun day without getting a lot of presents or spending a lot of money :)
TJ decided we should try and visit the potato museum while we live in Idaho, so that's what we did! They even give you some free hash browns at the end of it.
Then we went to Freeman Park (just down the street from our house) and played some frisbee golf! It was such a beautiful day. We came home and made some milkshakes/smoothies afterward.
And, of course, we ate some cake! (it's a dirt bike helmet :))
TJ had a little too much fun lighting the candles...
Make a wish!
I'm so glad he got to be home for his actual birthday. It was so fun to spend the entire day together.
Happy Birthday, TJ!  I love you!!

California and a Baby Shower

We just got back last weekend from a super awesomely wonderful week long vacation to San Diego with my entire family, but that will have to wait. We've been pretty busy, and been gone a lot lately, so here's a recap of some things that happened in April :)
Our niece, Anna, turned 8 the end of March, so the first weekend in April she was baptized. We figured since TJ was going to be out in California for work anyway, and my job is all finished now, I might as well go with him! (TJ's office in CA is about 35-ish minutes from where my sister lives.) I am so glad we got to be there for Anna's baptism! Such a special day. My dad was also there, and it was so fun to spend some time with him too.
The week after Anna's baptism was spring break! Unfortunately it rained most of the week, but Monday it was nice and sunny so we took advantage and went down to The Boardwalk in Santa Cruz!
It's a pretty fun place! Lots going on. We had a picnic on the beach, played, and enjoyed the sunshine.
One of the must-do's while grandpa was there with the kids was a wiener roast in the backyard.
With s'mores for dessert, of course! (I can't have graham crackers, so I just make 'em with chocolate and marshmallows :))
I had a really fun week in California (TJ was still working, so it may not have been as fun for him), and the best part was that I got to see TJ almost every day! It was pretty much amazing. Loved it.
The weekend after we got back to Idaho, my friend Kayla threw me a baby shower down in Provo! (thank you, Kayla!!) And it was the cutest shower ever! She's pretty much awesome.  Themed from the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
The whole table of food
This was the cutest punch ever! And quite tasty, too!
The best part of the shower was being able to see some of my Provo friends! Thanks for coming guys!!
Sariah, Megan, and me. (we missed you Elizabeth!!) We were roommates together 6 years ago, and we're still the best of friends.  I love these girls so much.
Also, Megan and I are both having baby boys! She's due a month after me :)
We got some great stuff for our little guy. It was so much fun, and I felt so special :)
