2 Months

I can't believe how fast time flies...must mean we're having fun :)
At Hunter's doctor appointment last Monday he weighed 11 lbs 10 oz and was 23.5 inches long! He's a growin!
We get the most compliments on his hair and his eyes. He has these gorgeous deep blue eyes. We'll see if they stay blue or not. We also get comments about how chill/mellow he is. He is seriously the most chill baby ever. Love it. Also on how active he is (seems a little contradictory...haha). He is seriously a squirmer! He is also very strong, which people also comment on a lot.
He started smiling this month. It's my favorite thing. Ever.
He loves to stare at things. Even just holding a toy in front of his face gets huge grins and his arms and legs are goin crazy. Or he'll just stare at my hand. He just loves to stare and figure things out :)
Sometimes I get sad that I don't have a little newborn anymore to snuggle and hold. I miss him being so little. But I love how much fun he is getting to be. I love the interaction. Love his smiles. Love his noises. Love how excited he gets just looking at things. Just lovin' every stage :)
Enough talk, let's get to the good stuff, right?!

Love this little face :)
Is this not the sweetest face you've ever seen?!

TJ & Hunter lookin so sharp in their ties for church
 The champ of tummy time
He outgrew his newborn clothes just after he turned a month old. He's just too tall! He always has his legs froggie style when he sleeps, but he was at a point where he couldn't even put his legs straight if he tried...haha.
When Hunter wakes up from his naps he rolls and squirms all over the place. He does some sweet leg lifts where his legs are straight up in the air. Too funny.
One day when he was waking up from his nap he rolled over!! He was rolling so hard and was stuck on his side and kicked just enough to flop on his belly. He wasn't so sure what to do when he got there - I think it scared him a little bit. Haha! He's done this a few times...never on purpose, but that's how it starts...lol.
Trying to catch his little smiles is a challenge. He's either too squirmy so he's a blur, I'm not fast enough so I miss it completely, or he gets distracted by the camera. But sometimes I catch them :)
He's such a happy little boy. I love him.
Playing patty cake with Grandma
Workin' it for the camera. Sometimes his faces are so funny.
One night Hunter was a little bit upset....hahaha I laugh so hard at this picture every time!

These are the two people I love the most. Can't get enough of them.
Hunter loves this little pig and chick on his bouncer. Loves. There's a video in the previous post, but this series of pictures just cracks me up.
He discovered his fists this month.
Now tummy time is usually 'eat my fist' time.
Hunter loves books. He just stares at the pictures with wide eyes and smiles and gets excited. He especially loves bed time stories with Daddy.
We went on our first family road trip! More on that in a separate post...
Hunter likes to help carry in groceries....hehe. TJ is basically awesome. What did I carry? The diaper bag :)
 2 months old!
Handsome guy in his church outfit the day he turned 2 months old :)
I love hangin' out with my little buddy every day. I feel so lucky and blessed that I am able to be a stay at home mom.
How could I not love staying home with this cutie all the time?!
That's probably enough pictures...I'll try to be better about posting pictures of him more than once a month :)

Bouncer Lovin'

I am trying to put up some more pictures of Hunter since he turned 2 months on Sunday (I'll try to be better about being on top of my blog....) but my computer and pictures are just being a little uncooperative today. So, here's a little video to make up for it :)
Hunter LOVES his bouncer. The little pig and chick are his best friends. He stares at 'em and smiles at 'em and tries to talk to 'em. It's adorable. And it lets me eat breakfast without juggling a baby:) Win, win.
It's a little bit long...but it's also a little bit adorable.
Also, sorry about the low quality of video...this was just on my phone.
I will be posting way too many pictures of the little guy soon...when my computer decides to be a little more cooperative...

Hunter's Blessing Weekend

Little Hunter Jay was blessed on August 26th. It was a very special and wonderful day for our family. This outfit is the same outfit TJ was blessed in. I love that we got to use it for our little guy :)
Our little family :)
We were so lucky to have so many members of our families come out for Hunter's blessing! We had quite the crazy weekend of visitors, and we absolutely loved it. Thank you to everyone who came!!  {we missed all those who couldn't :(}
The Emrich boys - TJ, Pops, Hunter, Nic
All the Emrich family who came! We missed you Nini, Ryan, and Shelby!
We really didn't take too many pictures on the actual blessing day. It was a little crazy. I realized as I was going through pictures that we didn't get any pictures of my family on Hunter's blessing day...whoops. We did get pictures of my family other times, though :)
Hunter got to meet some of his cousins for the first time! This is playing with cousin Jane.
Getting kisses from cousin Abby! She was so excited to "hold" him and give him kisses. Adorable.
He also got to meet Grandpa for the first time!
Meeting Pops for the first time (for the record - my parents are Grandma and Grandpa and TJ's parents are Mima and Pops)
Meeting Aunt Becki, the amazing juggler ;)
Uncle Nic
Meeting Uncle B-rad for the first time (lots of 'firsts' that weekend...)
Hangin' out with Mima and Pops :)
Most people who were able to attend the blessing came to our place afterward for some lunch and to hang out and meet our little guy. Thanks to everyone who came!
Later that evening my dad was helping cook dinner and he wore my flirty apron. Lookin' good, Dad! ;)
Saturday night before the blessing we had almost everyone in town, so we got some pizzas and ate dinner in the park.
Once it was dark we played glow in the dark frisbee golf! We tried an experiment by taping glow sticks to the frisbees. It actually worked really well! So much fun.
Some of the group. It's kind of hard to get good pictures in the dark...on a phone...haha.
Little Hunter was all wrapped up in blankets and was a trooper being carried around by Grandma the whole time :) So cute!!
It was a really quick weekend trip (day trip for some) and we are so grateful to have had such a great weekend with family! Thank you, thank you, to everyone who came!
My parents were able to stay an extra day and hang out, which was so fun! My parents were troopers and helped me cut up and freeze 2 boxes of peaches! Brad and Angie brought us some from Utah {the best peaches ever!} and they needed to be done that day. Boiling, peeling, slicing, putting in bags to freeze. And it was over 90 degrees that day (we don't have ac). Fun vacation, right?! Who wants to visit next? Haha. Thanks Mom and Dad!!
That night we went to Cafe Rio for dinner. Yum.
And to Reed's Dairy for dessert. The yummiest ice cream ever! (not that I know...haha...but I've been told by pretty much everyone) The cows are literally out back behind the store.
Just a little teaser for his 2 month post (he is 2 months on Sunday....what?!). Hunter started smiling this month. Adorable. This was on his blessing day, so it fits with this post :)
