Solo trip to Canada (pre-Waterton)

In August we did a trip with my parents and siblings in Canada. TJ had to miss the first half of the trip since he had to go to India, so that was a bummer. That meant I got to drive to Canada by myself with this little man! He was amazing. I couldn't have asked for better!
Hunter and I got there earlier than my siblings so we had some time to ourselves with Grandma (and Grandpa and Josh, but they were at work most of the time). We had lots of fun playing at the park, playing in the backyard, eating popsicles, and getting Canadian slurpees!!

When we went to the airport to pick up my sister and her family we had some time to kill at the airport, so we rode up and down and up and down and up and down the escalator.........for...ev...errrrrr :) Hunter couldn't get enough!
On the way home from the airport we stopped at Peter's Drive In for dinner. The yummiest milkshakes ever!! And burgers, fries, and onion rings. Yum.
My brother and his family drove up the same night and then we were all together! (except TJ) These cousins had so much fun together! Eating popsicles on the front step happened more than once :) Blaine, Anna, Abby, Katie, and Hunter.
Hunter LOVES his cousin Zach. He always wanted to play with him.
Watching cars go by and playing I Spy on the front step with cousin Abby and aunt Angie
At the end of my parents' street there is a man made lake. Growing up I spent every day possible at the lake in the summers! We had a blast playing in the sand, swimming, and sun bathing. :) Hunter thought it was hilarious to slither down the sand on his belly and get super sandy and then wash it off in the lake.
The main purpose of our trip together as a family was to go to Waterton! Coming up next :)

Grandma Visits

In July I had the opportunity to go to girls camp! I left Monday afternoon and was supposed to come Friday afternoon. I had a blast hanging out with the girls, going on a hike, etc etc. This is the only picture I took, haha! Loved being around the campfire with these girls :)
While I was at camp my mom was kind enough to come down for a week to watch Hunter! Clearly she's a really fun grandma :)
I ended up coming home early from camp because TJ was summoned to India for work on very short notice. He sent me a text late Tuesday afternoon saying he needed to leave Sunday morning to India and he needed to book flights immediately. Since we had enough leaders up at camp I was able to come home Wednesday night and spend a couple days with my hubby before he left. Bonus was that I got to spend some time with my mom!
We played frisbee golf
We also took Hunter to the zoo!
TJ and I celebrated our 6th anniversary the Friday before he left for India. My mom let us sneak away on a little date and it was so great. We hadn't had a lot of time to ourselves without someone else being around for a while. We went and picked up this giant chocolate chip cookie and walked around the greenbelt.
Sure love this handsome man :)
A little bit to come on TJ's India adventures :)

Hunter Turns 2

We were home for less than a week in between all trips that we took this summer, but we happened to be home in Idaho for Hunter's actual birthday! He had a pretty fantastic birthday. He woke up to find the living room full of balloons, which he clearly loved.
He got to eat number 2 pancakes for breakfast
Then we headed up to the splash pad in Rexburg!
Across the field from the splash pad is a park! Perfection.
We had a picnic lunch
Hunter managed to find the only mud puddle in the whole park. Imagine that!
Later that afternoon he had one of his friends, Kaden, over and they played with his hot wheels track and all the balloons.
And of course we ended the day with birthday turtle cupcakes and ice cream!
He even helped Daddy finish off his ice cream. What a nice boy ;)
Happy birthday Hunter!! You bring so many smiles to our family :)
